Exhibiting CARLOTA GUERRERO, SLAVA MOGUTIN, LIN ZHIPENG (aka No. 223) & MORE
From July to Sept. 2022, we transformed the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart with our exhibition “WHO AM I? I AM”. It brought together four individual perspectives of international photo artists Carlota Guerrero (Spain), Lin Zhipeng (aka No. 223, China), Slava Mogutin (USA/Russland) and Thalia Gochez (Mexiko/El Salvador), that explore the complexities of identity, uncover social constructs and give insight into intimate personal experiences.
The day of the vernissage
Our approach was to curate an all-encompassing exhibition through large and small scale, as well as two-dimensional and spatial artworks. In the last room, we installed a WHO AM I? photo booth along with rolls of duct tape, inviting an interactive visitor experience. To amplify the exhibition impact, we also developed its visual identity and communication, including an exhibition magazine, OOH posters, social media content and an online art shop. The exhibition immersed viewers to reflect on their own identities, inviting personal connection with art in a meaningful way. All exhibited artists went on to achieve outstanding commercial success, producing work for brands like Nike, Saint Laurent and Apple.
