Synchronising The Art of Photography and Dance
Friedemann Vogel, the first soloist of the Stuttgart Ballet and one of the world’s most renowned ballet dancers, stepped into a transcendent collaboration with photographer Oliver Kröning, to create a series of photographs in a perfectly synchronised performance. These images became the foundation for a limited edition art box and an accompanying public exhibition, titled "Physical Conversation“.
Behind the scenes
We curated and installed the exhibition outside the Stadtpalais - Museum for Stuttgart, being so well-received by the art & dance community, that it generated 10,000€ to donate for the Olgäle Foundation in Stuttgart. As Friedemann Vogel and the Stuttgart Ballet have a strong following in Japan, the special art box with a series of photo prints was also exclusively produced for the Japanese ballet fans and sold out immediately.
FOLLOWING THE LINES OF a human body and a car’s aerodynamics
In extension to this special collaboration with Friedemann Vogel, we partnered with Porsche to create a beautiful documentation of the seemingly contradictory merging between the art of ballet and the design of a Porsche car. Shot at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, one of the top locations in the world for classical music and dance, this campaign video, titled "Ein Traum(-)wagen“ (German word pun for: To dare a dream/a dream car) aligned Friedemann Vogel’s graceful movements with the refined, aerodynamic beauty of a Porsche— into one harmony.
